I am a textile artist with hand stitch, begun when a child, as a necessary part of my practice. Because of my love for the natural environment, my pieces often contain a message about its protection. In July 2014 I won first prize at the 'Reading the Land' exhibition with a piece that combined stitch with photography printed on fabric. As a member of the group, Fibregenics, I helped organise, and also exhibited in, the exhibition 're(f)use' at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum in 2017. My pieces in this exhibition reflected my interest in protection of the environment and the pollution of our waterways. I am a member of the Embroiderers’ Guild NSW and have been chair of the Lateral Stitchers’ Group since January 2019. This innovative textile art group exhibits every 2 years and I exhibited work in the 2019 exhibition.
